Terms of Service

1. What ApplyBench is

ApplyBench is a pay-per-use AI career tool platform. You buy credits, use them to run tools (resume analysis, ATS checking, cover letter generation, interview prep, and others), and receive structured feedback. We are not a recruitment agency, employer, or career counsellor. The output from our tools is AI-generated guidance — not professional advice.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use ApplyBench. You must provide a valid email address and a password with at least 8 characters. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person — do not share accounts or create multiple accounts to abuse free credits.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or abuse the platform.

3. Credits and payments

  • First-time accounts receive 5 free credits. No credit card is required for signup.
  • Additional credits are purchased in packs through Stripe. Prices are displayed at checkout and on the billing page.
  • Credits never expire. They remain in your account until you use them or delete your account.
  • Credits are deducted when a tool runs successfully. If a tool fails on our end, your credits are refunded automatically.
  • We do not offer cash refunds for purchased credits. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us at support@applybench.com.
  • There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals. Every purchase is a one-time transaction.

4. AI-generated output

The tools on ApplyBench use AI to analyse your resume and job descriptions and generate suggestions. This output is provided “as is” for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that:

  • The output is accurate, complete, or free of errors.
  • Following the suggestions will result in job offers, interviews, or any specific outcome.
  • ATS scores or keyword analysis reflect the exact behaviour of any particular applicant tracking system.
  • Job trust assessments are definitive — they are probability-based indicators, not guarantees.

You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it in applications, interviews, or professional communications.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you upload or paste into ApplyBench. We store this content in your account to provide the service (running tools, displaying results, populating your saved roles and history). We do not sell your content to third parties or use it for purposes outside of providing the service.

AI-generated output (cover letters, rewritten bullets, interview questions, etc.) is yours to use as you see fit. We include a “Generated by ApplyBench.com” watermark in tool output sections for attribution.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use ApplyBench to:

  • Generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive application materials.
  • Abuse the free credit system (creating multiple accounts, automated signup, etc.).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI pipelines.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, stored resume / CV, analysis results, credit transaction history, and any remaining credits. This action cannot be undone.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep ApplyBench available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. When possible, we will display a maintenance page rather than showing errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApplyBench and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for credits in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of ApplyBench after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
