Help and support
This is the public support surface for ApplyBench. It covers the real questions people hit most often: getting started, credits, stored resume behavior, exports, public job trust checks, account controls, and how to reach a human when you need one.
Best support order
Start with the relevant page inside the app if it is visible. Then use this help page. If you still need help, use the contact page at /contact and email support@applybench.com if needed.
Getting started
Start with a job check, then use the smallest useful resume step instead of trying every tool at once.
-You can check a public job URL before signing in or uploading a resume.
-Your first account gets 5 free credits. No card is required to begin.
-The best first step is usually Resume Analyzer with a real job link or pasted job description.
-If the role already looks worth pursuing, Application Sprint can build Resume Analyzer, ATS Check, and Cover Letter outputs together.
We store your parsed resume text in your private account so the tools can reuse it without repeated uploads.
-We store extracted text from your resume so tools can reuse it. When you upload a reasonably sized PDF, ApplyBench may also keep that original file for plain PDF download.
-You can replace your stored resume by uploading a new one in Resume Analyzer.
-Account deletion permanently removes your stored resume, saved analyses, and related account data.
Your tool outputs are saved so you can revisit them, compare re-runs, export text, and share limited public views.
-All tools support plain-text export from the result page.
-Public share links are limited and do not expose your original resume or job description.
-Resume PDF export is free from Resume Analyzer results. Plain downloads preserve your original uploaded PDF when available; tailored PDFs create an ATS-safe PDF in ApplyBench format from selected rewrites. Best for ATS uploads and quick applications; visual layout may differ from your original file.
Resume Analyzer, ATS Checker, and Cover Letter work best with a public job URL, and /check-job is the public trust-only path when you just want a posting sanity check first.
-If you want a quick posting check before signing in or uploading a resume, use /check-job with a public job URL.
-If URL import fails, paste the job description directly and continue.
-Trust check is a practical risk signal based on visible posting evidence, not a guarantee.
-Use the trust summary and first recommended CTA to decide whether to tailor, verify first, or move on.
Use the signed-in Opportunity inbox when you have several job tabs open and want to decide which ones deserve effort first.
-Paste up to 10 public job URLs, or scan a public company/ATS jobs page, and ApplyBench ranks the roles by Opportunity Fit.
-You can save supported company or ATS careers pages, then manually rescan them when you want fresh roles.
-Supported careers pages include Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, and company careers pages with visible role links.
-Direct pasted links can include LinkedIn guest pages, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor listings, Workday when parseable, and direct company role pages.
-The inbox does not auto-apply and does not run broad keyword searches across job boards.
-You can save a ranked role to your active queue for free, then run Resume Analyzer only when it looks worth spending credits.
-Each saved role can open a Role Workspace with the current next step, trust and fit context, notes, status, and role-aware follow-on tools.
-Ranking preferences on that page can be saved to your account as a lightweight Candidate Strategy Profile.
The most common friction points are billing mismatches, failed PDF exports, share links, sign-in recovery, and unclear job imports. Check the relevant in-app page first, then use /contact if the issue persists.
